Starting point

You have no monitoring yet

Twelve invoices and a main incomer. It is the most common starting point in the region, and it is enough to begin.

What can bills alone support?

DataCan showCannot show
Monthly billsA whole-building baseline against weather and activity; a first carbon figure.Out-of-hours load, plant attribution or a sub-load split. Monthly totals hide them.
Interval main meterThe occupied and unoccupied split, and weekend profiles.Which plant is responsible.

An interval read on the main incomer, from the supplier or one logger, turns the biggest blind spot on the site into a measurement. It is usually the first instrument worth adding.

What does one interval read add?

The split between occupied and unoccupied hours. It needs one read at the main switchboard, and an invoice can never give it up, because unoccupied use is folded into every monthly total.

Energy by occupancySample data
61%outside occupied hours
39%during occupied hours
Sample data. On your site the split comes from your own intervals and calendar.

What is the staged path?

Each stage is useful alone and you can stop after any of them.

Start with what existsDiagram
  1. 1

    Baseline from what you have

Invoices, main meter, calendar and weather.

  2. 2

    Main incomer to interval data

From the supplier, or one logger.

  3. 3

    Instrument where it points

Meters on the loads the evidence implicates.

  4. 4

    Verify each change

Measured against the baseline it was modelled from.

Instrument only where the analysis points. Radr measures and verifies; it does not operate your building.
